Affiliate Disclosure

How Walnut & Wool makes money, and what that means for what you read here.

The short version

Walnut & Wool is reader-supported. Many of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the merchant pays us a commission. You pay exactly the same price either way.

Amazon

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Prices shown on this site are cached at the time we check them and go out of date quickly. We show you when each price was last checked, but the merchant sets the final price, and it may have changed since. Always confirm the current price on the merchant’s own page before buying.

What commission does and does not change

Commission rates vary between merchants, and we are not going to pretend that is invisible. What we do about it: we pick the products first and find the links afterwards, and we say plainly when a cheaper option is the better buy even where it pays us less.

We do not accept payment for a favourable review, and no merchant sees a piece of writing before it is published.

How the links work

Outbound links pass through our own redirect before reaching the merchant. That lets us count which recommendations are actually useful to readers. We record the page and the position of the link, a coarse device type, and a country. We do not store your IP address, and we do not build a profile of you.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, or you think we have got a recommendation wrong, we would rather hear it. Get in touch through our contact page.
